The country Liechtenstein is building a new public service center, thus gathering five authorities in one building.
In order to realize slim columns and at the same time prevent punching shear failure of the slabs, composite columns with welded-on column caps were used as one structural component. In the cast-in-situ slabs, the radius of punching prevention is extended by PSB® punching shear reinforcement. Peikko designed, planned and delivered heavy-duty ATLANT® steel core columns with welded-on CUBO Column Caps as well as the PSB® punching shear reinforcement in cooperation with partner SACAC AG.
